Anyone who wants to be introduced to the basics of using a computer and wants to develop their skills and confidence to gain a fundamental understanding.

No formal qualifications are required for this course, you may be asked to attend one of our advice and guidance sessions to make sure that this course is suitable for you.
What are the key things you'll learn?
You will learn the fundamentals of how to use a computer and Microsoft Windows covering the following topics:  

  • Main Parts Of A Computer
  • Health & Safety,
  • Cursor & Mouse Movement,
  • Using the Keyboard,
  • Moving & Copying Files & Folders,
  • Working With Windows,
  • Shut Down & Restart The Computer,

Classroom taught workshop, hands on session, ½ day.

Achievement will be measured via continuous assessment using a variety of different methods to capture evidence that demonstrates learner competence.
